The Air Force Office of Scientific Research has awarded a grant to Dr. Vivienne Sze, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, through its prestigious Young Investigator Research Program (YIP). As one of 59 outstanding scientists and engineers selected for this award, Dr. Sze will receive $120,000/year for a period of three-to-five years to conduct a basic research project titled, “Energy-Efficient High-Performance Computer Vision Systems.”
